There are many ways by which you can protect your customer’s sensitive information and achieve PCI compliance. One way is that you store directly the customer’s sensitive information directly into the payment gateway information and generate a token during the transaction. This token can be used later, even after a month for any subsequent transactions. These tokens are useless to criminals. PCI compliance is the must for any company which does credit card processing and accepts payments from their customers. In fact VISA has declared a new PCI Compliance deadline for the site. The new deadline for Level 2 Merchants is 31st December 2007.
